WHAT ?

1001wonders.org (formerly world-heritage-tour.org) is documenting around the planet 1001 cultural and natural sites in panophotographies - interactive 360 x 180 degrees imaging.

WHY ?

This project is for education purposes and for those who are unable to travel for whatever reason. It is also a testimony to future generations.

HOW ?

Sites are chosen based on the World Heritage List, the Man and the Biosphere Programme, the Intangible Heritage Lists and the Memory of the World Programme by UNESCO, and also based on the World Monuments Fund Watch Lists.

WHO ?

1001wonders.org is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which is alive thanks to the J.M. Kaplan Fund (2003-2008) and thanks to friends, donors, sponsors and staff.
